The Royal Palace of Caserta - UNESCO World Heritage Site
The Royal Palace of Caserta is one of the largest and most spectacular royal palaces in Europe. Commissioned by Charles of Bourbon in the 18th century, it was designed by architect Luigi Vanvitelli to rival Versailles. Inside, sumptuous halls, monumental staircases and magnificent frescoes recount the grandeur of the Bourbon dynasty. Outside, Italian and English gardens stretch for miles, dotted with fountains, waterfalls and water features. It is a must-see destination for those visiting Campania, capable of enchanting young and old with its regal beauty.
Roccamonfina and Foce del Garigliano Regional Park
A green oasis nestled between Campania and Lazio, Roccamonfina Regional Park is built around the ancient extinct volcano of Mount Santa Croce. It is the perfect place for nature lovers, with paths through chestnut forests, natural springs and breathtaking views. In autumn, the warm colors and scents of chestnuts make the landscape even more magical. It is ideal for hiking, outdoor picnics and close encounters with local flora and fauna. A rejuvenating dive into the most authentic and unspoiled Campania.
Amphitheater Campano - Capua
Second only to the Colosseum in size, the Campanian Amphitheater is an extraordinary testament to ancient Capua, once among the most important cities of the Roman Empire. Built in the first century AD, it hosted gladiator fights, shows and public celebrations. It is said that it was here that Spartacus fought. Today it is possible to visit its impressive arches, mysterious underground passages and the attached museum, which tells the story of Capua through unique archaeological finds. An evocative experience for those who love classical history and culture.
